Alexander Votes to Confirm John Pallasch to Serve as Assistant Secretary at the Department of Labor

WASHINGTON, July 11, 2019 — U.S. Senate labor committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement after voting to confirm John Pallasch to serve as Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training at the Department of Labor:

“The number one issue I hear most about from businesses in Tennessee is the need for more skilled workers. Mr. Pallasch will use his prior experience as the Executive Director of Kentucky’s Office of Employment and Training to help ensure our country is more workforce-ready.”


The Senate labor committee first approved Mr. King’s nomination on November 29, 2018. The Senate today confirmed Mr. Pallasch by a vote of 54-39.
