"In June I held a hearing at Fort Campbell on the challenges facing military parents raising children. We heard about fewer soldiers, more missions and longer deployments in the Army. While our troops want to be good soldiers, they also want to be good spouses and parents. I applaud the Senate leadership for bringing this issue to the forefront and supporting Major General Petraeus's request for members of the 101st Airborne Division to spend some time with their families."
