WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators Bill Frist (R-TN) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) today made the following statement on Senate passage of legislation naming the South Knoxville Post Office after retiring State Senator Ben Atchley: "Today's action in the Senate, naming such a prominent building in the Knoxville Community after Ben, is a fitting tribute to his service to Knox County and his outstanding leadership in the Tennessee General Assembly," said Frist. "He has always been a source of sound advice and a tremendous advocate for Tennessee." "This is a fine tribute to Ben Atchley who has done so much for Knoxville and the state of Tennessee," said Alexander. "I am pleased the U.S. Congress has honored such a fine Tennessean in this way."
