Says Bill Will Allow Inventors to “Grow Their Businesses and Create More Private-Sector Jobs”

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today voted to move to debate on the Patent Reform Act, which would streamline the patent process for inventors.
“This bill will allow our nation’s inventors to get their ideas to market faster so they can grow their businesses and create more private-sector jobs. The protection of people’s inventions and ideas is so key to innovation and our nation’s prosperity that the founders of this nation saw fit to include it in our Constitution.”
The motion was agreed to by a vote of 93 to 5.
