WASHINGTON - In recognition of his "A" grade voting record for the 108th Congress, the National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC) has presented Senator Lamar Alexander with its "Tax Fighter Award." "I am honored to receive this award," said Alexander. "Hard working Americans deserve to keep as much of their money in their pockets as possible. I have always felt strongly about that and will continue fighting for it." The NTLC was organized in 1975 to seek constitutional and other limits on taxes, spending and deficits at the federal, state, and local levels of government by making structural changes in fiscal and governance practices at all levels of government, and to limit and control taxes and spending, so as to enhance the power and freedom of individuals and their enterprises.
