WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 6– Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) made the following statement on President Obama's Oval Office Address:

"Unfortunately, ISIS appears to be growing stronger and bolder in no small part due to this administration's lack of resolve in the face of evil people who will stop at nothing to win. President Obama should propose a more effective strategy to defeat ISIS, and he should work with Congress to make sure our military and counterterrorism agencies have the resources they need to identify the types of extremists who carried out the tragic shootings in Chattanooga and San Bernardino."
