Alexander Statement on Passing of Judge Hull

Posted on July 29, 2008

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement regarding the passing of U.S. District Judge Thomas G. Hull: “When I was elected governor in 1978, Tennessee was in the middle of a pardon and parole scandal. I asked Tom Hull to resign his circuit judgeship and become the governor’s legal counsel to help restore confidence in our state’s system of justice. He brought maturity, wisdom and common sense to that office and to every other office in which he served. He was a very good friend. Honey and I will miss him.”
