Posted on September 10, 2017

MARYVILLE, Tenn., September 10, 2017 U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement recognizing the 16th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks:

“The terrorists who attacked us on September 11 were not just lashing out at buildings and people – they were attacking who we are as Americans. On the sixteenth anniversary of the most devastating and significant terrorist attack in our nation’s history, we remember those who lost their lives, and we honor our brave service men and women at home and abroad who defend our freedoms and protect us from those who would seek to cause us harm.”
