ALEXANDER PRAISES COMMITTEE CONFIRMATION OF BISHOP GRAVES FOR TVA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN), chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Congressional Caucus, made the following statement today praising Senate Environment and Public Works Committee confirmation of Bishop William H. Graves of Memphis for the TVA Board of Directors: “I’m very pleased the Environment and Public Works Committee has approved the President’s nomination of Bishop William Graves for the Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors. Bishop Graves will bring a wealth of experience and ability to the TVA Board, and I look forward to his confirmation by the full Senate.” Graves’ nomination must now be approved by the full Senate.
