NASHVILLE, Tennessee, February 1, 2019 — Senate health committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on the Trump Administration’s proposed rule on prescription drug rebates:

“Rebates, which are discounts from the price of prescription drugs, ought to lower costs to patients, and this is a good first step towards that goal. The Senate’s health committee will work with the Administration and the Senate Finance Committee to determine what additional steps can be taken.”
