WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement regarding his vote against the DISCLOSE Act:

“By favoring some groups over others, this bill is an attempt by the Democratic majority to change the law to influence the upcoming elections to its own advantage.  We want to make sure that elections are fair and clean, but this bill isn’t the right way to do it.”
