Alexander Statement on the Passing of Frances Hooks

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14, 2016 – U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on the passing of Frances Hooks, a Memphis educator and philanthropist:

“Frances Hooks was a pioneer in the civil rights movement and a caring leader who worked to make life better for citizens of all backgrounds. She and her husband Ben were close friends, and we will greatly miss her.”
