“Every state would like to have these 1,800 new jobs. Hankook's decision is more evidence that Tennessee's right-to-work environment is the right home for companies around the world that want to make in the United States what they sell in the United States.” – Lamar Alexander

MARYVILLE, Oct. 14 – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said today’s announcement that Korea’s Hankook Tire Co. will locate its first North American tire manufacturing facility in Clarksville is a “huge win for Gov. Haslam and for Tennesseans because it fits one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers into Tennessee's growing status as the No. 1 state for auto suppliers.”

“Every state would like to have these 1,800 new jobs,” Alexander said. “Hankook’s decision is more evidence that Tennessee’s right-to-work environment is the right home for companies around the world that want to make in the United States what they sell in the United States.”
