Alexander Statement on Highest National Unemployment Rate in 26 Years

U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement regarding the Department of Labor’s announcement that the national unemployment rate rose to 10.2 percent in October: “Record unemployment rates are hurting and Washington is not helping with its 1,000-page bills that raise taxes, utility bills, health care costs and debt. Our focus should be on one thing: creating good paying jobs.”
