WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) issued the following statement after President Obama’s State of the Union address:
“The president was eloquent, but what we need from him is a greater sense of urgency and a plan to reduce spending and debt at a time when Washington borrows 42 cents of every dollar it spends.”
NOTE: Senator Alexander will participate in The Atlantic–National Journal “State of the Union Congressional Debrief” tomorrow from 8:30-9:00 a.m. You can watch live by clicking here.
