U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement regarding his vote in favor of the McCain motion, which would provide seniors in all states with the same exemption to Medicare Advantage cuts given only to Florida seniors under the Reid health care bill: “It’s wrong to protect Medicare Advantage benefits for seniors in Florida and deny them to Tennesseans. This measure would ensure that 243,000 seniors in Tennessee would continue to have access to increased dental care, vision care and hearing coverage and reduced hospital deductibles.”
