Alexander on Senate Confirmation of McDonough as U.S. District Judge for Eastern District of Tennessee

WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 7 – U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) released the following statement after voting to confirm Travis McDonough as a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee:

“Tennessee will be well-served by Travis McDonough. Travis is a man of good character and good temperament, and I am glad the Senate confirmed his nomination.”

In July, Alexander, along with Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) introduced McDonough to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee when it met to consider his nomination. Today, the Senate confirmed McDonough to be a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee by a vote of 89 to 0.
