ALEXANDER PRAISES PRESIDENT’S FINAL NOMINEE FOR TVA BOARD

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN), chairman of the TVA Congressional Caucus, made the following statement today after President Bush announced his intention to nominate William H. Graves of Tennessee to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority: “Memphis, TVA’s largest customer, will be well represented on the TVA board by William Graves. I’m delighted that President Bush has now completed his nominations for the new TVA board, and I hope William Graves will be confirmed as soon as possible.”
