Alexander Statement in Support of Gov. Romney’s Education Plan

Posted on May 24, 2012

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement in support of Gov. Mitt Romney’s plan for education reform:

“Governor Romney has offered some thoughtful education proposals on how to restore more control over decisions to parents and state and local leaders. No Child Left Behind has done its work, and now it is time to return the ball back to the states and encourage them to lead and innovate. It is time to move decisions about whether teachers and schools are succeeding or failing out of Washington and back to states.”
